Interior Design Intern
"Although studying Interior Design at Syracuse University has provided me with the necessary skills and techniques to progress into the working world, I have gained much more relevant knowledge interning at King + King. Whether through selecting material samples and organizing them for client approval or aiding in health care or community design projects, King + King has given me ample opportunities to explore my creativity in a productive and applicable manner. The King + King community has already made me feel at home and I?m excited to continue working with everyone in any way I can."
"The reason I decided to work part-time while simultaneously completing my thesis was to increase my knowledge in the profession, gain a new perspective, improve my skills and overall learn as much as I can. I truly feel that all of my expectations have been met and I am very thankful that I got to be part of the team for these past few months. Not only was the work environment extremely welcoming, but I was able to work on a range of projects in the short amount of time that I was here. One of the most rewarding aspects of this internship was the positive feedback that I received from the employees as well as from the clients. I am very glad I got to experience the process of producing design and drawing iterations for a client, since learning to effectively listen and produce a design accordingly is one of the most useful tools as an architect. Working at King+King Architects was challenging, fun, educational and I feel prepared and confident to step into the next chapter of my professional career."
