Formerly an exterior light well, this space was infilled to create a transparent, self-contained space used by students and teachers as a non-traditional learning environment. This space includes technological features that allow students to collaborate with each other and with teachers on project based learning activities. Displays mounted to the wall surfaces can be controllable by the students, allowing them to display information from their mobile devices and laptop computers. The transparency showcases this new laboratory and allows for observation by other students and teachers from outside the space, promoting interaction between those involved within the space, and those who may be passing by.
