A legacy of innovation + integrity.

Established in 1868 by the visionary architect Archimedes Russell, our legacy as New York State’s oldest architecture firm is a testament to our enduring commitment. We’ve evolved with the times—from design tools to workplace trends to architectural styles—while staying true to who we are. Our legacy is built on strong relationships with our clients, team, and the communities we serve.

Client service is always at the forefront of our design process. We believe that great solutions come from great communication, and our design teams are dedicated listeners. In every project we undertake, we strive to turn visions into reality.

Architecture

Our approach to architecture is rooted in listening first. We align design with client goals while balancing creativity, technical precision, and sustainability.

Interior Design

We treat interior design as an extension of the architectural vision, focusing on how materials, color, lighting, and furnishings shape the user experience.

Structural Engineering

Structural design is integrated from the outset to reinforce the design intent while ensuring safety, constructability, and long-term performance.

Building what matters: Community.

Our team isn’t just committed to designing buildings, we are committed to building up communities. Our employees dedicate upwards of 3,000 hours annually to volunteer work in the Syracuse community, along with supporting more than 100 diverse charities, nonprofits, and foundations throughout Central New York.

The King + King Golf Classic, born out of staff initiative, has become our largest annual fundraising event—raising more than $300,000 to date for our community.

Let’s create.

We believe architecture should be accessible, sustainable, and meaningful, with an emphasis on design that makes a positive and lasting impact.
