Spaces Designed for Learning by Doing
Marcellus Central School District is expanding hands-on learning opportunities through new facilities that support the District’s growing Career and Technical Education (CTE) program in agricultural sciences. The new Agricultural Sciences Building provides spaces for timber harvesting, kiln drying, woodworking, and maple production, along with a viewing classroom that connects students directly to the process.
A new greenhouse further expands year-round learning opportunities tied to agriculture, plant sciences, and sustainability.

Hands-On Learning Environments
Designed around active learning and visibility, the facility gives students direct exposure to woodworking, forestry, and agricultural processes. Open workspaces, durable materials, and visual connections between classrooms and shop areas support a learning experience rooted in observation and participation.

The greenhouse adds another layer of hands-on learning, supporting year-round growing and agricultural education opportunities for students.

Expanding Agricultural Education
Together, these spaces provide students with practical experiences and career exploration opportunities that connect education to real-world industries.
